BELLINGHAM — Police in Holliston, Mass., arrested a Bellingham man on Thursday for allegedly threating to kill his former co-workers and their families.
Scott M. Skrzyniarz, 30, of 61B Suffolk St., Bellingham, is being accused of phoning several Griffin Electric employees and leaving threatening messages. Skrzyniarz, a licensed electrician, is a former employee of the company located at 116 Hopping Brook Road in Holliston. The suspect was first apprehended by Bellingham police on Thursday afternoon and later turned over to officers in Holliston. According to court records, the suspect confessed to making the phone calls. Police in Holliston said they were first alerted to the alleged threats after receiving a call on Thursday from the director of operations at Griffin Electric, Gerard Richards. Richards told officers that the suspect called two employees on Tuesday and threatened their lives and families. According to published reports, in one call, the suspect threatened to “take care” of the employee’s wife and throw the employee’s son over a bridge. Skrzyniarz also allegedly told another employee to end his own life. The Bellingham resident also apparently left a voice mail for an employee on July 14, in which Skrzyniarz allegedly threatened to shoot an employee from the parking lot. Skrzyniarz had apparently been fired from the company in January for threatening behavior, according to reports. See THREATS, Page A-2 It is unknown if all of the alleged calls were made to the employee’s home phones or at their place of employment. Skrzyniarz is charged with two counts of assault with the intent to commit murder and two counts of threating to commit a crime, which, according to officers, was assault and battery. He was released after posting $1,000 bail at an arraignment held last Thursday at Framingham District Court. A pretrial conference is scheduled for Dec. 5. |
