Iuliano named new solicitor for Woonsocket |

WOONSOCKET — Mayor Susan D. Menard has named Robert C. Iuliano, an attorney with a practice in North Smithfield, as her choice of a new City Solicitor.
"Attorney Iuliano brings three decades of legal experience to the office and we look forward to his being a valuable part of our administration," Menard said in announcing his appointment effective Dec. 4.
"Bob formerly had his office here in Woonsocket and thus is not unfamiliar with our city and its organizational structure and legal process," Menard said. "We enthusiastically welcome him back to Woonsocket as we embark on the myriad of challenges facing us in the next two years,"
Iuliano replaces City Solicitor Christopher Lambert who is leaving his $50,000-a-year city position to focus more on his private practice with Rodio & Ursillo in Providence.
The announcement comes as Menard heads to inauguration for her seventh two-year term as Mayor. Menard, the City Council and the School Committee will be sworn in to their new terms Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the Woonsocket High School auditorium.
