BURRILLVILLE — A Providence County grand jury on Friday indicted a local man on numerous charges of sexual assault, child molestation and possession of child pornography.

Richard A. Gray, 59, of 34B Spring St., was indicted on one count of first-degree sexual assault, two counts of second-degree sexual assault, 18 counts of second-degree child molestation and nine counts of possession of child pornography, the attorney general's office said in a press release.
Gray allegedly committed the first-degree sexual assault and two crimes of second-degree sexual assault on a person or persons no older than 13 between Jan. 1, and Dec. 30, 1982, according to the indictment.
Also, Gray allegedly committed the incidents of child molestation between  Jan. 1, 1985, and Nov. 8, 1989. The victim or victims in those cases were   no older than 14, the attorney general said.
Gray is also alleged to have had in his possession on Oct. 9, 2007, materials containing images of child pornography. All of the alleged crimes took place in Burrillville, where the local police investigated the case.
Gray is to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on Dec. 17.
