PORTSMOUTH – North Smithfield answered Mount Hope’s challenge on Saturday evening with a 7-4 victory that created a Game 3 on Monday night for the two Division III semifinalists. The Northmen, who dropped a 4-1 verdict to the Huskies in their opener on Friday night, responded with a brilliant offensive effort in Game 2, scoring six goals in the first two periods. Nick Naradowy had the first and last goals of the night for the Northmen while Tom Bourgeois, Mike Lapierre, Chris Caouette, Pat Shea and Connor Naradowy also tallied goals. The time for Game 3 will be decided later today.
