WOONSOCKET -- In an EWLL Minor Division game played on Thursday, the Soucy Agency Yankees topped the Flock Tex Cardinals 9-7 in a close contest to improve its record to 4-1.
For the Soucy Agency Yankees, the pitching of Emily Brunetti, Thomas Marcet, Cameronn Cournoyer and Sean Flynn combined for 11 strikeouts. Flynn powered the offense by belting a single and a double while scoring 2 runs. Sean-Michael Cunningham laced a double and scored a run.
Jorge Cruz had 2 singles while Brunetti, Cournoyer and Jonathan Rodriguez each had singles. For the Flock Tex Cardinals, Nathaniel Crane pitched into the fifth inning recorded 6 strikeouts, while Luis Andrade recorded 2 strikeouts to complete the fifth.
Evan Bartholomy had 2 singles and scored 3 runs. Crane contributed with 2 singles. Francisco Cruz, Austyn Gray and Justin St. Laurent each had a single.

In the EWLL minor division play, the Michaud Auto Body A's visited the Executive Auto Wash Braves on Wednesday. The Braves pitched Will Vescera, Victor Buxton, Eric Buxton, TJ Cahill, & Troy Rivers for an inning apiece. TJ Cahill had a fabulous inning in the bottom of the fourth stirking out three for a 1-2-3 inning while closing out the third inning with a strikeout.  
The A's pitched Noah Desplaines for an inning, Alexander Thomas for two full, Kevin Fragoso for almost one complete before bringing in Jonathan Remilliard to close out the bottom of the fourth and end the game in the bottom of the fifth with a 1-2-3 inning, striking out four straight for a 12-9 win over the Braves  with Cyle McMillian and Bobby Soucy catching.  
The Braves had two singles during the game by Eric Buxton and TJ Cahill.  The A's had two hits, both singles from Noah Desplaines.  The A's won the game flip flopping there loss Saturday to the Braves which also ended 12-9.

The Club Lafayette Phillies hosted the Flock Tex Cardinals on Tuesday for a game that went 4 ½ innings until being called for darkness after a perfect night for baseball.  The final score was Club Lafayette Phillies 13 and the Flock Tex Cardinals 4.  
Sharing pitching duties for the Club Lafayette Phillies were Andrew Malloy with 75 pitches in 3 innings with 5 strike outs and Isaac Lanoie throwing 46 pitches in 3 innings with 8 strike outs.  For the Flock Tex Cardinals, pitching duties were handled by Nick Richer with 74 pitches in 3 innings with 3 strikeouts, Nathaniel Crane with 37 pitches in 2 innings with 1 strike out, and Evan Bartholomy with just 1 pitch in the 4th.
For the Flock Tex Cardinals, Luis Andrade and Francisco Cruz were able to consistently get on base, successfully steal bases, and each scored a run for their team, with Austyn Gray and Justin St. Laurent scoring the other 2 runs.
Andrew Malloy had a phenomenal game for his first time as the starting pitcher for the Club Lafayette Phillies and also contributed 2 doubles and a walk for his 3 times at bat, ultimately scoring 2 of the 13 runs put up by the team.   His double with a solid hit to center field in the second inning brought in 2 runs to close out the inning with the 4 run max.  
Zach Lorusso also had a huge hit to center field on 1 pitch that resulted in a double to start off the bottom of the 4th, ultimately scoring the first of 4 runs for that inning.  Overall it was a great team effort that led to the Club Lafayette Phillies winning the game.
