Three dead, one injured after car crashes on I-95 E-mail

ATTLEBORO — Three Plymouth men died and another was seriously injured after the vehicle they were traveling in crashed Saturday on Route 95 North.

State Police were called to a single-vehicle crash along Route 95 North at Exit 3, Route 123, at approximatey 2:43 a.m.
Preliminary investigation indicates that a 2003 Mazda sedan, operated by 23-year-old Gleidson Pereira of Plymouth, was traveling in the right lane of Route 95 North.
The vehicle’s operator apparently lost control of the vehicle, which exited the road to the right, rolled over and struck several tree stumps before coming to a stop, according to State Police.
Pereira and two passengers, 27-year-old Ivanildo De Souza and 29-year-old Lavdeir De Silva, both of Plymouth, suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene.
A third passenger, 29-year-old Samuel Torres-Mendes, also of Plymouth,
suffered serious injuries in the crash. He was transported by ambulance to Rhode Island Hospital.
None of the four occupants were wearing their seatbelts, according to
State Police. All four were ejected from the vehicle during the crash, said police.
State Police are seeking witnesses to the fatal crash or anyone with information about circumstances that led to the incident. Anyone with information is urged to call the State Police Foxboro Barracks at (508) 543-8550.
This crash remains under investigation by the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the State Police Crime Scene Services Section and the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.
The Attleboro Fire Department, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and MassHighway assisted troopers at the scene.      
Due to the crash investigation and vehicle removal, Route 95 North was completely closed for one hour.  The right and breakdown lanes remained closed for an additional three hours on Saturday.
