WOONSOCKET – There’s a need for a new boys’ basketball head coach at Woonsocket High after Kyle Ivey-Jones has decided to pursue a new opportunity in the sport.

PAWTUCKET – You can’t rush perfection – and never was that more true than on Saturday at the Slater Park Mike Kenny Courts, where North Smithfield waited through a three-hour rain delay before they got the chance to cap off a 14-0 dream season.
 
Once the droplets were dry and the games began, however, the Lady Northmen’s peerless talent shone through, and the team captured their first state D-III championship since 2010 with a 4-0 victory over Chariho.
