WOONSOCKET- Evelyn L. (Healy) Dumas, 79, of Woonsocket, died November 15, 2013 in Oakland Grove Healthcare Center, Woonsocket.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Florence (Tessier) Healy.
She worked as a secretary for the library of the Cumberland School Department for twenty-one years prior to retiring in 1994. Evelyn was a longtime communicant of St. John Vianney Church, Cumberland. She enjoyed playing bingo, collecting elephants and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her two sons, Marc Dumas of Cranston, and Paul Dumas of Woonsocket; her daughter, Denise Fredette of Pascoag; six grandchildren, Jennifer and Jeremy Fredette, Megan and Nicole Dumas, Alexandra Rodrigues and Marc Sartini; and two great grandchildren, Zackary Fredette and Julian Larrivee.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, November 22, 2013 at 10 AM in St. John Vianney Church, 3587 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland, RI. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, RI 02895. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
