NORTH SMITHFIELD- Therese A. (Lague) Auger, 78, died November 19, 2013 in St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. She was the wife of Philias A. Auger, Jr.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late George and Mabel (Anger) Lague.
She worked in the family business Auger's Menswear of Woonsocket for many years until its closing in 1989, prior to her retirement in the late 1990s Therese worked for seven years with Citizens Bank in Providence, overseeing the safety deposit box area. She was an active member of several local organizations in Woonsocket including, the KBG Club and the Interfaith Choir. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Woonsocket and was active for many years with their food pantry.
Besides her husband, she is survived by their five children, Pierre Auger and his wife Jill of Lexington, MA, Jean Auger and his wife Janice of Albion, Marie Gentile and her husband Ezio of No. Providence, Philip Auger and his wife Kristen of No. Kingstown, and Eric Auger and his wife Gina of Needham, MA; ten grandchildren and one great grandson. She was sister to the late Alfred G. Lague.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 9AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 1409 Park Ave, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, 314 Wrentham Road, Bellingham, MA. Calling hours are Friday from 5 - 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Food Pantry at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 1409 Park Ave., Woonsocket, RI 02895.
