Woonosocket drug dealer sentenced

November 25, 2013

WOONSOCKET – One of the busiest drug dealers police have caught in several years has been sentenced to 121 months in federal prison.
A U.S. District Court judge also ordered Eddie Carasquillo to serve seven years of supervised release upon the completion of his sentence for trafficking in cocaine and maintaining a drug-related property.
Police Chief Thomas Carey said Carasquillo, 29, was running a drug house off North Main Street which led police to the seizure of more than eight pounds of cocaine and $409,120 in cash in January.
“Certainly, he’s not a low-level dealer,” said Carey. “It’s one of the biggest drug busts we’ve had in the last five years.” READ THE FULL STORY IN TUESDAY'S CALL.
