NORTH SMITHFIELD- Lucille E. (Desplaines) Miller, 77, of Slatersville, died November 24, 2013 in Overlook Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Burrillville. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Miller, Sr.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Adrian and Alice (Frigon) Desplaines.
Lucille worked for thirty years as a teacher's aide for the North Smithfield Public School System. She enjoyed her monthly meeting with her friends to play dominoes, shopping and taking care of her home.
She is survived by her three children, Robert Miller, Jr. and his partner Beth, of Slatersville, Maureen Miller-Lemek and her husband Michael of Richmond, Steven Miller of Slatersville, two brothers, Raymond Desplaines of Woonsocket, and Roger Desplaines of Florida; four grandchildren, Jacob and Kaitlyn Miller and Matt and Meredith Lemek; one great-grandson, Mason Miller and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Robert Desplaines.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 11:30AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 63 Church Street, Slatersville. Burial will follow in Slatersville Cemetery, Green Street, No. Smithfield. Calling Hours are Friday November 29, 2013 from 4-7PM, in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, RI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Overlook Nursing Home Patients Activity Fund, 14 Rock Ave., Pascoag, RI 02859.
