WOONSOCKET- Theresa P. (Gilbert) Lemieux, 81, of Flora Avenue died Monday, November 25, 2013 at home. She was the wife of the late William R. Lemieux, who died this past April. Mr. and Mrs. Lemieux were married for 60 years on January 24, 2013.
A lifelong resident of Manville, she was a daughter of the late Frank G. and Mary U. (Scibak) Gilbert.
Mrs. Lemieux was a packer for Narragansett Knitting for 15 years before retiring in 1989. She had previously worked as an eyelet operator for Uniroyal for 19 ½ years.
She was a longtime volunteer at the Holiday Retirement Home in Manville and her family wishes to thank the staff for all their help when Mrs. Lemieux was there for rehabilitation.
She is survived by one daughter, Jeanne M. Lafond and her family of Manville; one son, Charles W. Lemieux and his family of Harrisville; one brother, Frank G. Gilbert of Cumberland; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 30 at 12 Noon in St. James Church, 33 Division Street, Manville. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at BELLOWS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln FRIDAY 4-7 P.M.
