Wayne W. Rawson, 65, passed away on Wednesday November 27, 2013 at his home.
Wayne was born on January 30, 1948 in Providence, R.I. and was the son of the late Waldo and Gladys (Daughtery) Rawson.
Wayne served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He had been employed by Pratt and Whitney for 30 years, retiring from there.
He is survived by his two daughters Lesley DeAngelo and her husband James Jr. of Southington and Kimberly Moreland and her husband Robert of Marlborough , three grandchildren Kyle and Ryan DeAngelo and Julia Moreland a sister Sandra Gittleman and her husband Barry of Southington, and longtime companion and best friend Blanche Poinatale of Bristol.
Services will be held on Tuesday December 3, at 11:30 am at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St. in Southington. Visitation will be from 10am until 11:30 am. Burial with military honors will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans 755 Pine St. Fall River, MA 02720
