BELLINGHAM- Robert L. Paulhus, 80, of Highland Rd. died Friday November 22, 2013 at home with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Muriel D. (Jodoin) Paulhus.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Albert J. and Clara E. (Richard) Paulhus.
He worked as a Foreman for Polytop for 30 years retiring in 1996.
He was a United States Air Force Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict.
He was an avid bowler at Walnut Hill Bowl, and a member of the Millerville Men's Club. He also belonged to Knights of Columbus, Freehill Council 5702, and served as Past Grand Knight. He was the Past Navigator, and obtained 4th Degree, of the Council General Moylan Assembly 1057.
He obtained an Associate Degree in Business from Johnson and Wales.
Besides his loving wife he is survived by his three sons, André and his wife JoAnn Paulhus, of Smithfield, R.I., Steven Paulhus of Milford, MA., and Donald Paulhus, of Whitinsville, MA. Three daughters, Karen and her husband Lee Clement, of Millville, MA, Sharon and her husband Michael Crawley of Cumberland, R.I., Nancy and her husband Glenn Hamel of Woonsocket, R.I. One brother, Ronald Paulhus of Bellingham, MA. Three sisters, Rachel Loyer of North Carolina, Simone Nadeau, of Florida, and Clara Belanger of Tennessee. Twelve grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.He also was the father of the late David Paulhus. and also was the brother of the late Albert, Richard and Gerard Paulhus, Claire Lanctot, Jeanne Dubruiel, Francis Monk, Paulette, Constance, Muriel and Lucille Paulhus.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday December 7, 2013 at 10 A.M. in St. Theresa’s Church Rathbun St. Blackstone, MA. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Scott Cemetery, Center St., Bellingham, Ma. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours are omitted. The S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd., Woonsocket, R.I. is in charge of the arrangements.
