BURRILLVILLE - Paul W. Shakan, 57, of Harrisville, passed away Monday at home. He was the husband of Debra S. (Namaka) Shakan.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late William Shakan and Pauline (Gamache) Marcaccio. He resided in Harrisville for 21 years, previously residing in Woonsocket
He was employed as an Associate for Lowes of North Smithfield for 5 years.
Paul was an avid golfer. He also loved to fish.
Besides his wife, he leaves his son, Christopher P. Shakan of Burrillville, his brother, Bruce Shakan of Johnston; his granddaughter, Samia Amber Shakan of Burrillville; as well as two nephews and one niece.
A celebration of his life will be held Friday at 9 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in the St. Basil Church, Skyview Drive, Lincoln. Burial will follow in the St. Basil Cemetery. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting Hours will be held Thursday from 4 to 7 PM.
