BLACKSTONE - Stephen R. Allaire Jr., 67 of 116 Elm Street, Blackstone passed away suddenly at his winter home in Lake Worth, Florida on Tuesday, December 3, 2013.
He was born on October 31, 1946 in Woonsocket, RI, and is survived by his parents Stephen R. Allaire, Sr. and Anna M. (Sarrasin) Allaire of Blackstone, MA where he grew up.
Steve was the owner of Giguere Auto Sales and former owner of Appliance and Television Rentals of Bellingham, MA. He was a racehorse owner and trainer and trained racehorses at several tracks throughout New England and in Florida. He was a former service manager of Bellingham Electric in Bellingham, MA.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 46 years, Linda M. (Faneuf) Allaire. He is also survived by his daughter, Ann Marie Allaire and her fiance Ken Allard of Blackstone, MA, his son, Kevin M. Allaire and his wife Debbie (Nardella) Allaire of Mattapoisett, MA, his four beloved granddaughters, Kierstyn and Sarah Ebbeling of Blackstone, MA and Samantha and Casey Allaire of Mattapoisett, MA.
He graduated from St. Mary's Catholic High School in Milford, MA and attended Worcester Junior College in Worcester, MA.
He also leaves his four siblings, Geraldine (Allaire) Baszner of Blackstone, MA, Robert Allaire of Woonsocket, RI, Lucien Allaire of Dorchester, MA and Richard Allaire of Norton, MA and two nephews, Jeffrey Allaire of Blackstone and Christopher Allaire of Great Barrington, MA.
A mass in memory of Steve will be celebrated on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013 at 11am at St. Paul's Church in Blackstone, MA. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Heart Association.
