WOONSOCKET- Lucille C. (Carriere) Benjamin, 97, of Woonsocket RI, passed away, Thursday, December 5, 2013, at the Beaumont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Northbridge.
She was born in Woonsocket RI, daughter of the late Alexander and Victoria (Meunier) Carriere and moved to Blackstone in 1980.
She was educated in the Woonsocket, RI schools.
Mrs. Benjamin was employed at the former French Worsted Company in Woonsocket RI and retired in 1989 from the Zayre's Corp in Bellingham where she was employed as a clerk.
She is survived by her children Robert Benjamin of Cumberland RI, Gerald Benjamin of Milford MA, Claire Jolly of FL, Jane Pentz of FL, Janine Lariviere of Douglas MA, twenty-three grandchildren, ninety-two and five great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral services are private and under the direction of the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St.
