SURFSIDE BEACH, SC- Horent, Armand G., 86, Surfside Beach, SC, former resident of Woonsocket, RI and Summerfield, FL passed away December 10, 2013. He was the husband of the late Louella B. (Robidoux) Horent for more than 57 years.
He was the son of the late George Horent and Lucienne (Gagnon).
Armand served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked at Uniroyal Rubbershop, and E.B. Stimpson Co. He enjoyed over 20 years retirement with his loving wife in Summerfield, FL. Traveling, spending time with family and friends. Golfing was his passion during those years as well as his pride in maintaining a pristine property.
He is survived by his son Richard P. Horent, Woonsocket, RI, daughters Celeste V. Riley, Myrtle Beach, SC and Claire N. Carls and the late son-in law Christian Carls, Lake Orion, MI; grandchildren, Katie Riley and Courtney Carls and the late Daniel Riley. He was also the step son of the late Alice (Masse) Horent and brother of the late Lucien Horent.
Memorial Mass and burial will be at a later date. Family and friends will be notified in advance.
