NORTH SMITHFIELD- Julienne M. (Forcier) Gelinas 88, formerly of Shady Lane died Saturday at the Holiday Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Rodolphe Gelinas.
Mrs. Gelinas was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late Arthur and Bertha (Laferriere) Forcier.
She worked in the quality control room at Amprex Electronics for fifteen years before retiring in 1985, and also worked many years in the drawing room at the former Guerin Mills. She was a member of the Royal Travelers.
Mrs. Gelinas is survived by a brother, Laurent Forcier of Pensicola FL, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Clovis Forcier, Gertrude Durand, Lorenza Vekeman, Marguerite Godin, Justin Forcier and Jeanne D'Arc Forcier.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Park Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Ann's Art and Cultural Center P.O.Box 79, Woonsocket, RI 02895 in her memory would be appreciated.
