GLOCESTER- Arline M. (Lamphere) Monahan, 81, of Chepachet, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013. She was the wife of the late Frederick Monahan.
Born in Putnam, Ct., she was a daughter of the late Prescott and Edith (Barton) Lamphere.
Mrs. Monahan was a Nurse's Aide at the Lakeview Nursing Home for 25 years and the Overlook Nursing Home for 10 years before retiring in 2003. She loved all animals, especially her dogs and cats.
She was the mother of Arline Mazzarella, Sherry Ann, Paul, Jr., Scott and Bruce Boire; grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of 10. She was the sister of Carol Crabtree, Linda Tennyson and the late Faye Riley.
Her funeral will be held Monday, December 23, 2013 at 10am in the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave. (Rt. 44) Greenville. Burial will be in Acotes Hill Cemetery, Chepachet. Visitation Sunday from 3-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Glocester Animal Control, PO Box B, Chepachet, RI 02814 will be appreciated.
