WARWICK- Robert S. "Bob" Frueh, 66, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Gail (Ricci) Frueh with whom he had celebrated 34 years of marriage.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Otto R. and Mary Ann (Ference) Frueh.
He lived in Woonsocket before moving to Warwick where he resided for the last 32 years.
Bob served as an active-duty member of the Army National Guard, for 25 years. He was also an active member of American Legion Post #19 in North Scituate. He participated in the ROTC program while attending Rhode Island College where he received his Master's Degree in Counseling. Before his retirement he worked at the Community College of Rhode Island as a talent search counselor. Bob was an active member of All Saints Memorial Church. He also enjoyed gardening.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Gail; and several nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by a brother Arthur R. Frueh, and a sister Gladys Frueh.
A Mass will be celebrated at All Saints Memorial Church, 674 Westminster St. Providence, at 10:30 AM on Saturday January 4, everyone is asked to go directly to church, the burial will be private. Calling hours will be held at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home and Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Ave., West Warwick, on Friday from 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the All Saints Memorial Church.
