WOONSOCKET- Cora E. Demers, 97 formerly of East School St. died Monday December 30, 2013 at Mt St. Rita's Health Centre. She was the wife of the late Raymond Demers.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Adolphe and Marie (Roch) Ouellette. Cora was a stitcher for the former Jacob Finkelstein & Sons for twelve years. She was a member of, St. Joseph Sr. Citizens, St. Louis Sr. Citizens, Golden Ages Club, St. John Vianney Sr. Citizens, Royal Travelers, and the St. Germain Manor Club.
Cora is survived by her brother, Wilfred Ouellette of Cumberland, a sister Isabelle Carpentier of North Smithfield, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Leo and Wildor Ouellette, Irene Remillard, and Simone LaFleur.
Her funeral with visitation will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph's Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Please visit www.fournierandfournier.com for guestbook and directions
