WOONSOCKET- Ida (Suffoletto) Laplume, 90, of Laflamme Ave., died peacefully Monday, December 30, 2013, in the Phillip Hulitar Inpatient Center with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Paul E. Laplume.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Giuseppe and Margueritta (Cicolella) Suffoletto.
Ida was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She was an avid Red Sox and Patriot and Bruins fan.
She is survived by her three children, Ann Marie and her husband Edward Schneider of Aiken, South Carolina, Paul and his wife Kathy Laplume of North Smithfield, and Andrew and his wife Lynn Laplume of Marshfield, Mass. Seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Peter J. Laplume.
She was also predeceased by her 13 siblings.
Her Funeral will be held on Friday at 9 A.M. from the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 4-8 P.M.
