Below-zero chill: A cold, hard fact

If you thought shoveling a foot of snow was bad, you might want to think twice about going outside this morning. While the white stuff might have stopped falling, the bitter cold has just arrived.

The National Weather Service issued a wind chill advisory Friday, which was expected to remain in effect until 9 this morning. Temperatures last night were expected to be around 2 below and with northwest winds gusting to 35 mph, forecasters were warning of bitterly cold wind chills with readings as low as 18 below.
