MILLVILLE- Richard R. "Rich" Lavallee, 53, of Chestnut Hill Rd., Millville, died Saturday at the Rose Monahan Hospice Center in Worcester.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of Jeannette (Ethier) Lavallee of Millville and the late Louis J. Lavallee. He was a resident of Millville for most of his life and also resided in Uxbridge. He was a graduate of Blackstone-Millville Regional High School.
Rich was employed by Poly Vinyl Corp in Sutton, MA for over 30 years.
He was a student and practitioner of karate.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Paul L. Lavallee, and his wife Pauline, of West Wareham, MA, two sisters, Muriel Archambault of Woonsocket, and Irene Church of Idaho. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be Saturday at 8:30 am from the Menard- Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. John's Church, Church St., Slatersvile. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Pl. West, 6th Fl., Brookline, MA. 02445, Attn: Contribution Services.
