Newberry (R-Dist. 48 North Smithfield, Burrillville) introduced a bill Wednesday that would prohibit heavy trucks and tractor-trailers from traveling in and around the area surrounding the North Smithfield Town Hall. That area, according to town officials, has seen its share of accidents involving bigger trucks attempting to navigate the narrow village streets.
