CUMBERLAND- Romeo J. Gagne, 76, of Quail St., died Tuesday January 7, 2014 in Landmark Medical Center, with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Muriel A.( Blanchard) Gagne.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Romeo and Irene (Deragon) Gagne.
Romeo was a Truck Driver for St. Germain Trucking, Danis Truck, and Miller Electric Carol Cable for 35 years, prior to retiring.
He was a Lifetime member of Cercle Laurier and Mended Hearts Chapter 338 of Woonsocket.
He loved vacationing in Maine, with his family.
Besides his wife Muriel he is survived by his two children, Paul M. and his wife Sheila Gagne of Florida, and Nicole Wethey, of North Smithfield. One brother, Normand Gagne, of Pascoag, R.I. Three grandchildren, Matthew Gagne, of Florida, and Ryan & Caitlin Wethey, of North Smithfield, R.I.
His funeral will be held on Saturday at 9 A.M. from the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, R.I. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. Joan of Arc Church, Mendon Rd. Cumberland, R.I. Burial will be at St. John’s Cemetery, Slatersville, R.I. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are on Friday from 4-7 P.M.
