CONNEAUTVILLE, PA- MCKENNA, Mary Gloria of Conneautville, PA, age 83, died unexpectedly at the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, NY after a fall. She was a middle school teacher in the Exeter-West Greenwich School district until retirement in 1992.
Born in Woonsocket, RI, she was the only child of Gabriel N. Filice and Lillian (McGivern).
She was twice married and divorced, to Clarence James Mack and John McKenna. Until her recent move to PA, she was a lifelong resident of RI, living in Woonsocket, Pawtucket, South Kingstown, and Coventry.
She is survived by her only child, William F. Mack and his wife, Paulette M. of Conneautville, PA. Her grandchildren include Kristina Ann Mack, William F. Mack Jr. and his wife Michelle, and Kelly Lynn Friedman and her husband Richard. She left five great grandchildren. She was stepmother to the late John McKenna, Richard McKenna and his wife Kathleen, and Donna Lee Fineberg and her husband Richard.
Active in many organizations throughout her life, including the Amorite Club, St. Teresa School PTO, and the Junior and Senior Women's Clubs of South County, she was a highly social person. She was a graduate of Woonsocket High School and URI.
Visiting hours will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home 142 Centerville Rd., Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 9am in Sts. John and Paul Church, Coventry. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the RI Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 186 Amaral St., Riverside RI 02915.
