BURRILLVILLE – Last Friday night, Burrillville High suffered a numbing 17-point defeat at Johnston, and head coach Samantha Stanton worried about her club’s collective mind-set.

She set out to remedy a few of the problems in recent practices, namely turnovers, free-throw shooting and rebounding.

The Broncos lost that first battle with Lincoln on Tuesday night, yielding 28 miscues, but it did exceed in the last two categories, especially junior forward Catherine Keable.

The tall, strong Keable played a pivotal role, draining 10 points while posting 15 rebounds and a block to pace Burrillville’s thrilling 43-39 Division II-North triumph over the pesky Lions.
