Mt. Hope no obstacle for Clippers in 3-0 win

WOONSOCKET – Cumberland was able to accomplish something on Friday night that the Clippers didn’t do once while averaging over a dozen regular-season victories in each of the last eight seasons – kick off their winter with a sparkling 7-0 start.

The Clippers dominated play from start to finish in their Division II crossover affair with Mount Hope at Adelard Arena, but despite outshooting the Huskies by a whopping 50-2 margin, they ran into a blistering hot goaltender in senior Matt Wilson and were only able to skate away with a 3-0 victory.
