January 17, 2014

WOONSOCKET – It’s time to put a lawmaker from District 49 back in the House of Representatives again.

The special election to fill the seat previously held by Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt gets under way on Tuesday.

Officially, it’s a Democratic primary, but the winner will be unopposed in the general election on Feb. 25.

There are three contestants in the race, Michael A. Morin, Douglas T. Brown and Mark L. Chenot.
