WOONSOCKET- Wayne A. "Batman" Campbell, 55, of Woodhaven Rd. died Friday January 17, 2014 at home, with his family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Theresa (Campano) Campbell.
Born in Attleboro, Ma. Son of the late Clifford Campbell and Phyllis (Williams) Campbell.
Wayne worked as a Lab Technician Supervisor, for Seracare for 17 years .
He enjoyed spending time with his loving family and all the special time with his friends. Wayne was a loving, caring, all around fun person.
He was a coach for Walkers Pub Men's Softball Team and which was awarded the Championship in 2013, he was an avid softball player, a huge Red Sox and Patriot Football Fan. He participated in the East Woonsocket Little League baseball and helped coachWoonsocket Red Skins Football. He was very active in the kid's school activities. He loved antique cars and enjoyed, going to car shows.
Besides his loving wife Terry, he is survived by his three children, Tracy and her husband Eric Caisse from Connecticut, Jena and her husband Jimmy Callahan, of Woonsocket, and Dana and his fiancée, Jen Castonguay, of Woonsocket. And two grandchildren Kaelin Callahan and Brody Castonguay, both of Woonsocket. Several brothers and sisters.
A Service of Remembrance will be held on Wednesday January 22, 2014 at 10 A.M. in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are Tuesday January 21, 2014 from 4-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations, in his memory to the Dana Farber Cancer Center, 20 Prospect Street, Milford, Ma. 01757 would be appreciated.
