House District 49 primary today

WOONSOCKET – Don’t forget to vote in today’s Democratic primary for the House District 49 seat previously held by Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt.
Because the primary is limited to electors who live within the geographic boundaries of District 49, the only polling places open are four sites within the district.

They are Crepeau Court, 100 Front St.; John F. Kennedy Manor, 547 Clinton St.; Park View Manor, 218 Pond St.; and Fairmont Heights, 525 Second Ave.

Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m., according to the Board of Canvassers.

Because the election is a Democratic primary, only registered Democrats and unaffiliated voters may participate.

They’ll be voting for one of three contestants on the ballot: Michael A. Morin, Douglas T. Brown or Mark L. Chenot.
