WOONSOCKET- Robert H. Marceau, 73, of Mendon Rd. and formerly of Woonsocket, died January 9, 2014 in St. Antoine Residence, No. Smithfield. He was the husband of Sandra A. (Greenlund) Marceau whom he married September 5, 1964.
Born in North Smithfield, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Alice (Blanchard) Marceau.
Mr. Marceau worked as a machinist for Whitins Machine, Whitinsville, MA. Robert served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the Leclair, Kozlik, Logan, Bassett VFW Post # 6342, Forestdale. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family whom he loved dearly.
Besides his wife he is survived by their two sons, Michael W. Marceau and his wife Shana of Cumberland, and Robert W. Marceau and his wife Susan of North Attleboro, MA; his sister, Irene Brassard of Tampa, FL; five grandchildren, Kerri Converse, Kayla, Emily, Matthew and Leah Marceau; and two great grandchildren, Kara Converse and Alana Caron. He is predeceased by his two brothers, George and Roland Marceau; and three sisters, Florence Boivin, Estelle Sawyer and Lucille Paul.
Funeral services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, RI.
