MANVILLE- Germain R. "Gerry" Berard Jr., 69, of New River Rd. Manville, died Friday January 17, 2014, at home with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Donna (Robbins) Berard.
Born in Lexington County, So. Carolina, son of the late Germain R. and Alice (Paquin) Berard.
Mr. Berard worked as a Real Estate Broker, for Lambert & Lambert Real Estate, 40 years, prior to retiring.
He was a United States Army Veteran.
He was a former member of the Elks, and volunteered at the Cat Sanctuary, on Mendon Rd. Woonsocket, R.I.
He loved going on Cruises, with his wife and spending time with family and friends. He was a lover of antique cars and enjoyed going to all the antique car shows.
Besides his wife Donna, he is survived by his three children, Scott and his wife Maria Berard of Lake Oswego, Oregon, Todd and his wife Julie Berard of Seattle, Washington, Christine and her husband Roland Dumas of Woonsocket. Two brothers, Roland Berard of Woonsocket, Paul Berard, of Terryville, Connecticut, and six grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 2 P.M. in the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are from 12 P.M. to 3 P.M. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cat Sanctuary, 266 Mendon Rd. Woonsocket, R.I. 02895, and Beacon Hospice, 1 Catamore Blvd. East providence, R.I. 02914, would be appreciated.
