BURRILLVILLE- Helen Mary Bienkiewicz, of Pascoag, formerly of Woonsocket, went home to God, peacefully on January 24, 2014. She was the loving wife of 55 years to the late John J. Bienkiewicz who passed away in 1993.
Helen was born March 12, 1920, in Blackstone, MA, the daughter of the late Stanley and Karolina (Mollo) Shipala. She worked at area textile mills, retiring from Baka Manufacturing in 1983. She was a communicant of All Saint's Church.
Helen enjoyed, crocheting, sewing, needlework and spending time with all her family.
She leaves behind her loving children, Velma and her husband Edward Chmiel from Melbourne, FL, Elaine and her husband Paul Barry of Melbourne, FL, Joseph and his wife Meredith Powers of Providence, RI, Anne and her husband Wilfred Ducharme of Pascoag, RI, Kathleen and her husband Stephen Chimelski of Nashua, NH, 14 grandchildren and 24 great- grandchildren. She also leaves behind her loving sister Mrs. Jennie Oleksyk of Uxbridge, MA. She was predeceased by her sisters Mrs. Rose Romblad and Mrs. Mary Morin.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday Jan. 28, 2014 at 9AM from the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave. Pascoag, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30AM in All Saint's Church, 323 Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Farm St, Blackstone, MA. Calling hours will be Monday, Jan. 27 from 4 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to; Overlook Nursing Home Activity Fund, 14 Rock Ave., Pascoag, RI 02859.
