A week of prayer, celebration for region’s Catholic schools

January 25, 2014

Whether they attend St. Raphael Academy in Pawtucket, Mount St. Charles Academy and Good Shepherd Catholic Regional in Woonsocket, or Bishop Hendricken High School in Warwick, the coming week will be one of reflection and fun for students observing National Catholic School Week in the state.

The 34 Catholic elementary schools and nine Catholic high schools in Rhode Island will be celebrating Catholic School Week in their own unique ways, but also acknowledging the importance of a Catholic, faith-based education, according to Daniel J. Ferris, superintendent of schools for the Diocese of Providence.
