Landmark undergoing a facelift

January 26, 2014

WOONSOCKET – Prime Healthcare Services has owned Landmark Medical Center’s acute care hospital operations at Cass Avenue and Rehabilitation Hospital of Rhode Island on Eddie Dowling Highway in North Smithfield just under a month, and already changes and improvements are in the works, according to Richard R. Charest, Landmark’s chief operating officer.

Maybe it’s the banner hanging near Landmark’s name outside the hospital on Cass Avenue noting its membership in the one of the top 15 health systems in the country, or possibly the attitude of Landmark’s 1,200 employees — however it comes across, there is a sense of something new going on at the longtime city health care institution.
