WOONSOCKET- Arthur "Pug" Henri Beaudet 88, resident of Woonsocket, passed away January 26, 2014 at his son's residence in Albion surrounded by his family.
He was the loving husband of 66, years to Pauline (Lapierre) Beaudet.
He was born in Woonsocket RI., the son of the late Alphonse & Marie Anne (Nadeau) Beaudet.
He was a master mechanic for Nelmor Inc. in No. Uxbridge MA., from where he retired in 1990, previously he worked for the Blackstone Combing Co., in Millville MA. He was a lifelong Woonsocket resident, and served in the Army during WWII.
Besides his wife he is survived by children, son, Richard Beaudet of Albion, daughters, Madeleine Telfeyan of Little Compton, Doris Daponte of Bristol, and Marie LaRose of Blackstone MA. He is also survived eight grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
He was preceded in death by brothers; Adjutor "Neg", Emile, Omer "Ben", Herve "Pop", Edmond "Speed"; sisters, Cecile Carpentier, Jeanne Travis, Bertha Attridge, Louise Carpentier, and Florence Beard.
His funeral will be held Friday at 9am from the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in All Saints Church Woonsocket. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Jean the Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham MA. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4pm until 8pm.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to: Dept. of Veterans Affairs, VA Medical Center, 830 Chalkstone Ave, Providence, RI 02908, adding to the memo line, "In memory of Arthur Beaudet.'"
