BURRILLVILLE - Jeanne Doris (Chamberland) Cagnon, 81, formerly of No. Smithfield and Woonsocket, died Monday evening, January 27, 2014 in Bayberry Commons, Pascoag. She was the wife of the late Adrien Norman Cagnon, whom she married May 1, 1954. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Lucien and Florestine (Carmel) Chamberland.
Jeanne worked for many years at U.S. Rubber and the Embassy Club in Woonsocket, as well at the Holiday Inn, formerly in So. Attleboro, MA, until her retirement. She enjoyed life and making people laugh. Jeanne loved dancing and being the life of the party, playing cards and spending her summers on the beach.
Jeanne is survived by two sons, Raymond Cagnon and his wife Laurie of Slatersville and Roland Cagnon and his wife Joyce of Pascoag; her sister, Marguerite Chamberland of Port St. Lucie, FL; four grandchildren, Jessica, Michael, Krystal and Michelle; and four great grandchildren, Ethan, Tyler, Bella and Cassidy.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 1, 2014 from Noon-2 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket, followed by a memorial service at 2 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association-RI Chapter, 245 Waterman Street, Suite 306, Providence RI 02906. www.holtfuneralhome.com
