WOONSOCKET- Louise "Weezie" C. (Suffoletto) Lahousse, 88, of Rhodes Ave., died February 4. 2014 in The Friendly Home, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Raphael R. Lahousse.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Maria (Farelli) Suffoletto.
Mrs. Lahousse worked as a CNA for the St. Antoine Residence, No. Smithfield and for the Blackstone Nursing Home, Blackstone. She previously worked for U.S. Rubber, Woonsocket. Louise was a member of the St. Joseph's Senior Citizens, loved BINGO and was an avid Red Sox fan who loved all sports. She also enjoyed bowling, crossword puzzles and word searches.
She is survived by five children, James Lahousse and his wife Lynn of No. Smithfield, Bruce Lahousse and his wife Jeanie of No. Dighton, MA, Gloria Descy and her husband Marcel of Woonsocket, Connie Fedorak and her husband Michael of Woonsocket and Dorothy McGee and her husband Kenneth of Pascoag, a sister, Elizabeth Jacques of No. Smithfield, eleven grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Nicholas, Frank and Samuel Suffoletto, Angelina Tarvis, Carol Berbue, Theresa Gariepy, Mary Lambert and Natalie Mercier.
Her funeral will be held Friday, February 7, 2014 at 9AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Paul's Church, 48 St. Paul St., Blackstone. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 5-8PM.
