NORTH SMITHFIELD - Laurent G. "Larry" Rondeau, 63, of North Smithfield, RI passed away on Monday, January 27, 2014 at Landmark Medical Center with family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Dawn Garcia-Rondeau. Born in Woonsocket, RI on August 18, 1950, he was the son of the late Gerard R. "Gerry" and Cecile M. (Gaudreau) Rondeau. He was the loving father of Rachel L. Rondeau of Providence, RI, Elizabeth Rain Garcia of Schenectady, NY and the late Joseph G. Rondeau. He was the brother of Paul R. Rondeau & Theresa Atherton, and Roger R. Rondeau, Sr. and his wife Carol all of North Smithfield, RI. He also leaves his nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
Larry was a resident of North Smithfield for 2 years and was formerly of Santa Clara, CA and Uxbridge, MA where he was raised. He was an award winning Master Technician for General Motors for many years. He was a former Union President of Local 1101 IAM.
Larry enjoyed life and wanted everyone to live life to the fullest. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed boating, camping, fishing, water skiing and was an avid hunter. He loved his Harley. Larry will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 12th with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM at St. Mary's Church, 77 Mendon St., Uxbridge, MA Relatives and friends are invited to attend. There are no visiting hours. Arrangements are under the direction of Cartier's Funeral Home, Bellingham, MA
