WOONSOCKET- Helena K. (Tancrell) Cadorette, 98, of Woonsocket, died Saturday, February 15, 2014 in the Ballou Home. She was the wife of the late Ovila R. Cadorette, whom she married May 1, 1944.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Gideon and Katherine (Frayne) Tancrell.
Mrs. Cadorette was a saleswoman for Lerner's Department Store and later worked for the AT Cross Company. She was a communicant of St. Charles Borromeo Church. Mrs. Cadorette enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid reader.
She leaves her brother, Martin P. Tancrell of Woonsocket and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by three brothers, Gideon, Thomas and Raymond Tancrell.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2014 beginning with visitation at 9:30 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 190 No. Main St. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ballou Home Activities Fund, 60 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket, RI 02895.
