BURRILLVILLE- Gary H. Rouleau, 74, of Harrisville, RI, passed away on February 16, 2014 at the Fatima Hospital in North Providence.
He was born in Woonsocket, the son of the late Gerard & Astrid (Nelson) Rouleau.
Gary worked for and retired from the Burrillville Highway department. Previously he worked as a union mason for various companies. He was a graduate of Burrillville High School Class of 1960, where he and his deceased twin brother Gordon were outstanding football players for the Burrillville Bronco's for four years. He was a stock car enthusiast spending many hours at the Thompson Speedway watching races and also working clearing disabled cars from the track.
He is survived by uncles Richard Rouleau of Oakland, and Armand Rouleau of North Smithfield, and his aunt, Claire Lapierre of North Smithfield.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his twin brother Gordon Rouleau, and long time companion Maureen "Mo" Malley.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 10am from the Brown Funeral Home, 1496 Victory Hwy., Oakland with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Patrick's Church, Main St., Harrisville. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Pascoag. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4pm until 7pm.
