BRISTOL- Nelson L. Labonte, 93, formerly of Woonsocket, died, Tuesday, February 25, 2014, in the R.I. Veterans Home. He was the husband of the late Therese (Valois) Labonte.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Joseph and Victoria (Bouchard) Labonte.
Mr. Labonte was a United States Army Veteran serving in WWII.
He worked as a Machinist for Taft Pierce, for 27 years prior to retiring.
He is survived by one son, Joseph F. and his wife Mary Labonte of Woonsocket, and one daughter, Anne M, and her husband Keith Choquette, of North Smithfield, and five grandchildren.
He was also the brother of the late George and Raymond Labonte, Alice Mandeville, and Pauline Lemieux.
His funeral will be held on Friday, February 28, 2014, at 9 A.M. from the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will be in Precious Blood Cemetery, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are Thursday February 27, 2014 from 5-8P.M.
