WOONSOCKET â€“ It wasnâ€™t Christmas, but it sure felt like a celebration when utility crews started flipping on street lights on Helene Rizoliâ€™s street Wednesday night.
Residents came out of their houses clapping and cheering, and one even hugged Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt, who was on hand to watch the National Grid bucket trucks do their work.
â€śIt did feel good,â€ť said a smiling Baldelli-Hunt, who had made turning the street lights back on one of her most oft-repeated campaign promises.
