Arthur J. McMurtrie

Lincoln- Arthur J. McMurtrie, 88, formerly of Old River Rd., died Monday, November 15, 2010 in Hebert Nursing Home, Smithfield. He was the husband of the late Alicia S. (Meisser) McMurtrie.
Born in Concord, NH, he was the son of the late James and Delina (Jaques) McMurtrie.
A graduate of Providence College, Mr. McMurtrie was a self employed CPA in Woonsocket. He was a WWII Army Veteran, an avid golfer and member of Kirkbrae Country Club, Lincoln.
Arthur is survived by a son, Richard A. McMurtrie of Laconia, NH, a daughter, Nancy A. McMurtrie of Gilford, NH, four grandchildren, Alissa Savard, Adam Greenough, Heather Cowan and Katherine McMurtrie and seven great grandchildren. He was the grandfather of the late Jason Greenough and brother of the late Thomas McMurtrie.
His funeral will be held Thursday, November 18, 2010, with visitation, from 9 - 10:30AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30AM in St. Ambrose Church, 191 School St, Albion. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VNS of Greater RI, 6 Blackstone Valley Place, Suite 515, Lincoln, RI 02865.
