WOONSOCKET- Clair E. Roy, 98, formerly of Winthrop St., died Friday February 28, 2014, in the Ballou Home, with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Elphege Roy.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Eugene and Cordilia (Corrigan) Michaud.
Claire worked in the laundry department for the former Woonsocket Hospital for several years prior to her getting married; at that time she enjoyed staying at home with her husband. Claire enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces, and great nephews and great- great nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Eugene, Isabelle, Arthur, Gerard, Joseph, Paul, Lucien, Aruele, Cordelia, Anna, Amelda, and Eva
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2014, at 9 A.M. from the S. DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home,, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, R.I with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will be in St. Jean the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham, Ma. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are Wednesday from 5-8P.M.
