WOONSOCKET- Janice "Jan" Ross, 64, of Woonsocket, passed away March 1, 2014 at her residence in Woonsocket RI.
She was born in Woonsocket, daughter of Doris (Pelland) Dupuis of Cumberland and the late Arthur Dupuis.
Jan was a bartender for Our Pad in Woonsocket and previously of Amvets Post 7 and 62. She loved to crotchet, an avid Patriots, Bruins, and NASCAR fan, she also liked participating in fundraising efforts for The March of Dimes and Cancer runs. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends and being at the ocean. Jan was also a past member of the Post 62 Women's Auxiliary.
Besides her mother, she leaves one daughter, Elaine Davies, loving longtime companion, Charles McCarthy. Siblings include, Pauline Deslauriers, William Dupuis, Yvonne Lacouture, Linda Leblanc, James Dupuis and Edward Dupuis. Grandchildren Chestley, Candice, Isabella and Chad Davies. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10am in St. Agatha's Church, 34 Joffre Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-8 in the Egidio DiPardo and Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket, RI. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jan’s name to the March of Dimes.
