NORTH SMITHFIELD- Kenneth R. Richard, 57 of North Smithfield passed away Sunday.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Roger Richard and the late Olive Richard (Mulcahy). He grew up in Albion and resided in North Smithfield for over 25 years.
Ken and his dear friend and business partner, Tony Tutalo of Johnston, owned and operated a successful greyhound racing kennel at Lincoln Greyhound Park for over 30 years. Recently, Ken was employed by Scott Brass of Cranston.
In addition to spending time with his family, Ken enjoyed playing golf with his buddies.
Ken leaves his loving wife Stacey (Dyer), and his precious daughter, Lindsay residing at home. He also leaves his dear brother, David Richard and his wife Nancy of Cumberland and his loving sister, Sandra Chianese of Woonsocket. Ken also leaves several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Ken's Life will be held on Friday at 9 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Ambrose Church, School Street, Albion. Burial will be private.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Calling hours Thursday 5 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ken's memory to the Melanoma Research Foundation, 1411 K Street, NW Suite 800 Washington, DC 20005. Or www.melanoma.org
